People and Culture Manager_TT

  • Kraków, Poland
  • Full-Time
  • On-Site

Job Description:

We're looking for a hands-on People and Culture Manager to build the local HR function from the ground up for an international fintech lender launching a new hub in Krakow. This is the company's first dedicated People and Culture hire in Poland, so you'll act as a true HR Business Partner for the scaling local team while making sure everything stays compliant with Polish labour law. You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy creating processes from scratch rather than inheriting them, and if you're equally comfortable advising leadership on strategic people matters and handling the day-to-day admin yourself. It's a standalone, first-in-region position with real ownership over how the local HR function takes shape. You'll work on-site in Krakow, reporting into a global team while partnering closely with local leadership. This is a long-term, permanent role with the chance to shape HR practice for the company's Polish operations from day one.

Details:
Schedule: Full time
Location: Krakow, Poland (On-site, 4 days/week)
Start: ASAP
Duration: Long-term
English: Fluent

About the project:
The company is an international fintech lender operating across 11 countries, currently opening a new hub in Krakow as part of its continued expansion. This role exists to establish the local People function from scratch, covering everything from onboarding and payroll compliance to strategic advisory support for local leadership. As the first dedicated HR hire in the region, you'll set up the foundational processes, policies, and practices that the growing Krakow team will rely on going forward. The environment is fast-paced and scale-up in nature, with a strong emphasis on building rather than maintaining existing systems. You'll work closely with a global People team as well as local leadership to make sure the Polish operation stays compliant and well-supported as it grows. It's an opportunity to leave a lasting mark on how the company's local HR function is built and run.

You have:

  • Current or recent experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or Senior HR Generalist
  • Demonstrated experience managing Polish labour law compliance, payroll, and social security regulations
  • Fluency in both Polish and English
  • Willingness to work on-site in Krakow, 4 days per week
  • Comfort operating as a standalone, first-in-region HR hire, building processes from the ground up

What to do:

  • Build the local HR function from scratch, including onboarding, policies, and core people processes
  • Act as a true HRBP for the scaling Krakow team, advising leadership on people matters
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Polish labour law, payroll, and social security regulations
  • Balance hands-on administrative HR work with higher-level strategic advisory duties
  • Support leadership through team growth, restructuring, and performance conversations
  • Partner with the global People team to align local practices with company-wide standards
